Prof. Ximena Guardia is an Environmental Engineer who graduated from the National Agrarian University La Molina in Peru, and she received her Master's degree in Sustainable Energy Engineering from the Iceland School of Energy, Reykjavík University, in Iceland. She has a specialization in Quality Management and Environmental Auditing from UNALM and an International Diploma in Renewable Energies from ESAN University. She has extensive experience in the preparation of environmental studies for the energy and production sectors as well as in the development of environmental regulations and mechanisms for citizen participation. She also has knowledge and experience in pollutant dispersion modeling and in the numerical modeling of geothermal reservoirs. Finally, she has seven years of experience in university teaching, with a focus on biomass and geothermal energies.
Dr. Eunice Villicaña is an Associate Professor at the Ingeniería de la Energía, Universidad de Ingeniería y Tecnología (UTEC), Peru. She received her Master's degree in Renewable Energies and Energy Efficiency from the University Castilla la Mancha Campus Albacete, Spain, and obtained her Ph.D. in Technology, Diversification, Quality and Energy Saving from the University of Oviedo, Spain. She has ten years of experience in university teaching. She specializes in solar energy, renewable energies and energy efficiency. She has work experience as a full-time research professor at the Universidad Tecnologíca del Centro de Veracruz. She was awarded the Fluor prize in Spain.
