Dr. Romualdo Sciorio holds a degree in Science Biology with 110/110 cum laudem at the University of Naples “Federico II” and a master's degree in Science and Biotechnology from Napier University, Scotland. He has more than 30 years of experience in assisted reproductive techniques, pre-implantation genetic testing, and cryopreservation. He has worked in research and clinical embryology across Italy, the UK, Europe, Australia, Canada, India, the Philippines, Armenia, Switzerland, Nepal, and the Middle East. He is a state-registered clinical scientist (HCPC) and holds an ICSI and embryo biopsy license. His current interests include embryo culture to the blastocyst stage, epigenetics, time-lapse technology, and vitrification. He is the author and co-author of more than 60 peer-reviewed papers and has been invited to give lectures at more than 100 national and international scientific meetings. Since 2019, he is working internationally as a consultant embryologist, and since August 2023, he is working as a Laboratory Director at the Fertility Medicine and Gynaecological Endocrinology Unit, Department Woman-Mother-Child, Lausanne University Hospital, Lausanne, Switzerland.
