Esperanza Ayuga Téllez is an Associate Professor of Applied Statistics, Operational Research and Geographical Information Systems in the Forestry and Environmental Engineering and Management Department at the Universidad Politécnica de Madrid, Madrid, Spain. She received her Ph.D. degree in Forestry Engineering from the Universidad Politécnica de Madrid in 1992. Her current research interests are in Agroforestry, Applied Statistics, Landscape, Forest, Urban Forest, Environmental Engineering, Public Participation and Higher Education and have resulted in more than 25 research papers in specialized journals. She belongs to the board of directors of the Spanish Association of Public Parks and Gardens (AEPJP) and the Spanish Agro-Engineering Association (SEAgIng) and is a member of the Buildings, Infrastructures and Projects for Rural and Environmental Engineering (BIPREE) research group and a member of FAO Silva Mediterranea WG7 “Urban and peri-urban forestry”.
