Jeanine Giarolla is a Professor in the Department of Pharmacy at the University of São Paulo. He has a degree in Pharmaceutical Sciences from the Pontifical Catholic University of Campinas (2004), a MS and Ph.D. in Pharmaceuticals and Medicines from the University of São Paulo (2007 and 2012, respectively), a Sandwich Doctorate in England, University of Central Lancashire (2011) and a Postgraduate Ph.D. in Pharmaceuticals and Medicines from the University of São Paulo (2015). He has experience in the field of Pharmacy, with an emphasis on Pharmaceutical Chemistry. His research topics mainly include: prodrugs, pharmaceutical applications, dendrimers, molecular modifications, and targeted dendrimers.
Catarina Rosado received her PhD in Pharmaceutical Technology at Cardiff University, UK. She is currently an Associate Professor at ECTS of Universidade Lusófona. She has established her research at CBIOS, Universidade Lusófona, leading the Development of Delivery Systems Group, but has collaborations with other Portuguese and foreign universities. Her research interests are focused mainly on the study of the impact of formulations on transdermal penetration and also on the development of non-invasive in vivo strategies to assess the efficacy and safety of innovative ingredients for topical drugs and cosmetics. She has been involved in the supervision of several MSc and PhD students and has hosted postgraduate students from various countries in her research lab. She has regularly been invited to lecture in master's and postgraduate programs at other national and international universities.

Maria Valéria Robles Velasco is a Professor at the University of São Paulo. She has a degree in Pharmacy and Biochemistry from the University of São Paulo (1983), and MS and Ph.D. degrees in Pharmaceuticals and Medications from the Faculty of Pharmaceutical Sciences of the University of São Paulo. She is a member of the Cosmetics Technical Chamber of the National Health Surveillance Agency/Brazil. She works in the area of Pharmacy/Cosmetology, with an emphasis on the Development and Evaluation of Topical Use Formulations, evaluating in vitro and in vivo efficacy. She has published 157 papers with 2865 citations and an h-index of 28 (Scopus, 8 December 2023). Her research topics mainly include: sunscreens, skincare, natural oils, keratin, sun protection, carotenoids, natural antioxidants, essential oils, hair products, pharmacy, and cosmetology.
André Rolim Baby received his PhD in Drugs and Medicines from the Faculty of Pharmaceutical Sciences, University of São Paulo (FCF-USP). He is an Associate Professor at the Department of Pharmacy, FCF-USP, with over 20 years of experience in the field of Cosmetic Science, involving graduation, post-graduation, and research. He has published more than 100 scientific papers in national and international journals. He performed postdoctoral investigations at the CBIOS research center in Lisbon, Portugal. He has supervised 13 master's and 10 doctoral degrees to date. He has extensive experience in conducting research projects in the field of photoprotection and sunscreens, non-sunscreens, nanotechnology applied in this class of products, the ex vivo cutaneous antioxidant potential, safety, and cosmetic efficacy related to sun protection and other cosmetic attributes, and the development of new methods for cosmetic claim substantiation.
