I. Rykowska is the head of the Department of Analytical Chemistry, Adam Mickiewicz University, Poznań, Poland, and a member of the Scientific Council of the Chemical Sciences Discipline. In 1990, she obtained a master's degree, and in 1996, she defended her doctoral thesis "Silica modified with ß-diketonsilane in complex gas chromatography", receiving a doctorate. In 2012, she obtained her habilitation based on the assessment of her scientific achievements and the thesis entitled "Modifications of silica for the needs of complex gas chromatography and SPE techniques". Her main scientific interests include microextraction techniques, trace analysis, gas, and liquid chromatography; methods of applying drugs, including immunosuppressive ones, to various types of medical materials; modification of silica surface and physicochemical characteristics of the modified silica surface; characterization of specific interactions and their impact on the chromatographic properties of fillings.
