Dr. Anita Ioana Visan earned, from the University Politehnica of Bucharest, a BSc in Medical Engineering and a Master’s degree in Biomaterials. She received her Ph.D. from the Faculty of Physics at the University of Bucharest. She currently is a Post Doctoral Researcher at the National Institute for Laser Plasma and Radiation Physics in Bucharest, Romania. Her main fields of specialization include Medical engineering; Biomedicine; nano-bio-technologies; bio-sensors; plasma and laser physics; and nanopower generation and characterization. Her current research interests include Laser-Assisted Processing by Pulsed Laser Deposition (PLD), Matrix-Assisted Pulsed Laser Evaporation (MAPLE), Rapid Prototyping by Matrix-Assisted Pulsed Laser Evaporation Direct Write (MAPLE DW) and reverse MAPLE—a Novel Chemical Templating Approach for Controlled-Release Drug Delivery Systems.
