Miroslav Ondrejovič is an Full Professor at the Department of Biotechnology, University of Ss. Cyril and Methodius in Trnava. Prof. Ondrejovič gained an M.Sc. at the University of Ss. Cyril and Methodius in Trnava in 2006 and received a Ph.D. from Slovak University of Agriculture in 2010. Prof. Ondrejovič's research keywords include enzyme, white-rot fungi, degradation, laccase, antioxidants, phytochemicals, free radicals, proteinase, inhibitors, PHA, bioplastics, fermentation.
Stanislav Miertuš is at present a Professor at the Faculty of Natural Sciences, University of Ss. Cyril and Methodius, Trnava (SK) and  Director General of International Centre for Applied Research and Sustainable Technology (ICARST), Bratislava (SK). Prof. Miertuš obtained a M.Sc. at Slovak Technical University in 1971 and received a Ph.D. from Slovak Academy of Science in 1975. He became a full professor in 1989 at STU University. He was a visiting professor at the Universities of Pisa, Milano, Trieste (IT), Paris and New York. In the years 1998–2010, he acted as Area Director of the UNIDO-ICS Centre in Trieste, Italy and coordinated more than 60 projects, workshops and expert meetings in more than 30 countries.  Prof. Miertuš's main interest over many years has been in the study of biosensors, biofuels, biotechnology, environmentally degradable plastics, computational and medicinal chemistry and drug design. He published more than 250 scientific papers cited more than 15,000 times.
