Dr. Victor Hugo Fonseca Jesus graduated in Medicine from the Federal University of Bahia in 2008. He completed a Clinical Medicine Residency at the Hospital das Clínicas in Porto Alegre in 2011 and a Clinical Oncology Residency at the AC Camargo Cancer Center in 2014. He is currently a preceptor for the Clinical Oncology Residency at the AC Camargo Cancer Center and works as an assistant physician at the same institution. Furthermore, he is co-director of the Reference Center for Tumors of the Upper Digestive Tract at the AC Camargo Cancer Center and has a Master’s degree in Oncology in the area of malignant tumors of the pancreas.
Dr. Alexandre Jácome is a Medical Oncologist focused on Gastrointestinal Oncology, with Board Certification both in Internal Medicine and Medical Oncology in Brazil. He completed his Ph.D. at Universidade de São Paulo (USP/Ribeirão Preto) in 2012 studying HER receptors in gastric cancer. Since then, he has been contributing as a member of the editorial board and a peer-reviewer of prestigious scientific journals. He has experience in Clinical Research as Principal Investigator, and, from August 2018 to July 2019, he had been working as Postdoctoral Fellow in Gastrointestinal Oncology at MD Anderson Cancer Center, focused on research projects related to colorectal cancer, appendiceal cancer, and anal cancer. Currently, he is the Leader of Gastrointestinal Medical Oncology at Oncoclinicas.
Dr Mauro DS Donadio is an oncologist specializing in GI and NET tumors. He was a coordinator of the Clinical Oncology residency program and head of the IRB at AC Camargo Cancer Center until August 2023. He currently works at the Centro Paulista de Oncologia in São Paulo, for the Oncoclinicas group.

João Fogacci is a clinical oncologist at Oncoclínicas Barra da Tijuca and at the Center for Oncological Excellence (CEON) also in Barra da Tijuca, Rio de Janeiro. He completed a Medical Residency in Clinical Oncology at the National Cancer Institute (INCA). He reached a significant milestone by becoming the first Brazilian professional to receive the Certificate of Advanced Studies in Gastrointestinal Cancer, which is awarded by the Università della Svizzera.
Renato Guerino Cunha graduated in Medicine from the Faculty of Medicine of the Federal University of Uberlândia in 2004, specializing in Internal Medicine at the same Faculty in 2007, Hematology and Hemotherapy in 2009, and Bone Marrow Transplantation in 2010 at the Clinical Hospital of Ribeirão Preto Medical School of University of São Paulo. He received a Ph.D. in Internal Medicine from the University of São Paulo at Ribeirão Preto Medical School and a Ph.D. in Cell Therapy and Biotechnology from the University of Paris-Diderot in 2014. He completed a Postdoctorate in Bone Marrow Transplantation and Cell Therapy from the National Cancer Institute (ETIB-NCI/NHI) in Bethesda, USA, from 2015 to 2018. Since 2009, he has been an associate member of the Brazilian Society of Bone Marrow Transplant. Since 2015, he has been a member of the American College Physician and, since 2016, the American Society of Hematology. Currently, he is a professor of medicine and the head of the Bone Marrow Transplantation and Cell Therapy Unit at the Clinical Hospital of Ribeirão Preto Medical School of the University of São Paulo. In 2018, he received the ASH Global Research Award.
Dr. Leonard Medeiros da Silva is currently a Pathologist at OCPM (Oncoclínicas Precision Medicine). He received training as a Pathologist at the National Cancer Institute in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, from 2002 to 2005 and completed further education at the University of Queensland, Brisbane, Australia, from 2005 to 2011. From 2005 to 2007, he worked as a Clinical Research Fellow in Molecular and Breast Pathology at the Breast Pathology Laboratory under the supervision of Professor Sunil R. Lakhani at the University of Queensland, Brisbane, Australia. From 2008 to 2011, he served as a Senior Lecturer in the discipline of Molecular and Cellular Pathology and Registrar in Anatomical Pathology at the Royal Brisbane and Women’s Hospital. He has a doctorate in the field of Pathology, defended in 2009 at the Escola Paulista de Medicina, São Paulo, Brazil.
Renata D Alpino Peixoto holds a degree in Medicine from the Faculty of Medical Sciences of Santa Casa de São Paulo (2006), and a residency in Internal Medicine at FMUSP and in Oncology at Hospital Sírio Libanês. She completed 2 years of clinical fellowship in Gastrointestinal Oncology at BC Cancer Agency, Vancouver, Canada. She is the former preceptor of Oncology at Universidade Nove de Julho and received a Doctorate in Medicine from the Universidade Nove de Julho. She is currently an oncologist at the Centro Paulista de Oncologia. She is the former head of clinical oncology and coordinator of Gastrointestinal Oncology and Neuroendocrine Tumors at Hospital Alemão Oswaldo Cruz. She is also the former Head of Oncology at the Royal and Benevolent Associação Portuguesa de Beneficência SP. She is the Scientific Director of the Brazilian Tumor Group.
