Ms. Jacqueline Maphutha is a PhD candidate in the Department of Plant and Soil Sciences at the University of Pretoria (UP). She received her MSc from the University of Pretoria in 2022. Her research is mainly on medicinal plants, antiproliferative activity, melanoma, PI3K/Akt/mTOR pathway, phosphatase tensin homolog (PTEN) and multidrug resistance.

Dr. Danielle Twilley is a Post Doctoral Researcher in the Department of Plant and Soil Sciences at the University of Pretoria (UP). She received her Ph.D. from the University of Pretoria in 2018. Her research keywords include medicinal plant sciences, biological activity, antiproliferative activity, cancer cell lines, and angiogenesis.

Prof. Namrita Lall is a Professor and NRF-rated researcher in the Department of Plant and Soil Sciences at the University of Pretoria (UP) and holds a NRF/DST Chair in Plant Health Products from Indigenous Knowledge Systems (IKS). She obtained her Ph.D. in 2001 and currently leads a research group in the Medicinal Plant Sciences Program.
