David W.P. Lappin is a Consultant
Nephrologist at Galway University Hospitals and the Galway Clinic, Honorary
Personal Professor of Nephrology at the University of Galway, and Fellow of the
Royal College of Physicians of Ireland. He has established and runs
multidisciplinary clinics in diabetic nephropathy and young and resistant
hypertension. He is the Treasurer of the UEMS Renal Section and European exam
lead for the European Specialty Examination in Nephrology. Lappin has clinical
research interests in diabetic nephropathy and young and resistant hypertension
and has published several papers in these areas in recent years.
