Xiaosen Li is a Chief Scientist of the Natural Gas Hydrate Center, Deputy Academic Director, and a Researcher at Guangzhou Institute of Energy, the Chinese Academy of Sciences. He obtained a Bachelor's and Master's at the Inner Mongolia University of Technology, China. He received a Ph.D. at the Tsinghua University, China. He completed a postdoctoral fellowship at the University of Alberta. He was an Associate Researcher at the University of British Columbia from 2001 to 2005.
