Jacek Tabarkiewicz graduated from the Medical University of Lublin, where he continued his professional career at the Department and Department of Clinical Immunology, obtaining the degree of Ph.D. Since 2014, he has been associated with the University of Rzeszów, where from 2015 to 2019 he was the director of the Natural and Medical Center for Innovative Research. He is the head of the Department of Human Immunology and head of the Laboratory of Translational Research in Medicine. He is a member of the Management Board of the Polish Society of Cytometry, and a member and former member of the International Society for Dendritic Cell & Vaccine Science. He serves as an Associate Editor of the Journal of Immunology Research a senior member of the editorial board of the American Journal of Cancer Therapy and Pharmacology; a member of the editorial committee of the World Journal of Respirology and SciTz Gynecology and Reproductive Medicine, as well as editor of the Immunology and experimental therapies section of the European Journal of Clinical and Experimental Medicine. The main trends of his research are issues of cancer immunology and the pathogenesis of autoimmune diseases. He is a doctor working at the Second Department of Pediatrics, Endocrinology, and Pediatric Diabetology focusing on the issues of therapy of autoimmune childhood diseases and myositis ossificans.
