Dr. Sandrina Nóbrega-Pereira completed a BSc in Biochemistry at the University of Coimbra (2003) and a PhD in Biology with a specialization in Cell Biology in 2009 from the same university, with work conducted at Oscar Marin lab (Instituto de Neurociencias, Alicante, Spain). She completed extensive post-doc training in Cancer Metabolism, Ageing, and Stem Cells Biology first at the CNIO (Madrid, Spain) at Manuel Serrano lab (2009-2013) and subsequently at the iMM-JLA (Lisbon, Portugal) at Sérgio Dias and MCFonseca labs (2013-2021). In 2018, she joined the UA as an Invited Assistant Professor at the Department of Medical Sciences (DCM-UA), and since 2021, she has been an Assistant Researcher at iBiMED.
Prof. Dr. Bruno Bernardes de Jesus graduated in Biochemistry at the University of Coimbra (2003) and completed a PhD in Molecular and Cellular Biology at the University of Strasbourg (2008). He is currently an assistant professor at the Health Sciences Department, group leader at the Institute of Biomedicine (IBIMED), and responsible for the internationalization and ERASMUS+ program at the Health Sciences Department at the University of Aveiro.
