Dr. Suhas Alkunte has a position as a graduate research assistant and currently is at the Center for Manufacturing Research, Tennessee Technological University, Cookeville, TN, USA. He received his bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering from the Swami Ramanand Teerth Marathwada University and a Master of Engineering in Mechanical Design Engineering from the Savitribai Phule Pune University. His skills and expertise are mechanical properties, mechanical testing, mechanics of materials, material characterization, materials testing, microstructure, mechanical behavior of materials, and advanced materials.
Prof. Dr. Ismail Fidan serves as a Professor of the Department of Manufacturing and Engineering Technology and the Director of iMakerSpace at Tennessee Technological University, Cookeville, TN, USA. He received his M.Sc. in mechanical engineering from Istanbul Technical University, Istanbul, Turkey, and his Ph.D. in mechanical engineering from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute, Troy, NY, USA. His research and teaching interests are in additive manufacturing, electronics manufacturing, distance learning, and STEM education. He is a member and active participant of SME, ASEE, ABET, and IEEE. He is the Associate Editor of IEEE Transactions on Components, Packaging, and Manufacturing Technology, the International Journal of Rapid Manufacturing, the ASEE Journal of Engineering Technology, and the Journal of Advanced Technological Education, and he is also the Associate Author of Wohlers Reports.
Dr. Seymur Hasanov is a mechanical engineer and educator currently serving as the Assistant Director of Undergraduate Studies and is a lecturer in mechanical engineering at Harvard University. He received his B.S. in industrial engineering in 2012, his M.S. in industrial engineering from Qafqaz University in 2015, and his Ph.D. in mechanical engineering from Tennessee Tech University in 2021. He brings a wealth of experience in engineering design, additive manufacturing, and mechanical engineering. His academic journey includes roles as an assistant professor, research assistant, and mechanical engineer at various esteemed institutions/industries. His research focuses on data-driven design modeling, data analytics, advanced materials, additive manufacturing, experimental characterization, and computational modeling. His main research area is in AM methods, specifically multi-material extrusion processes. He has contributed to several research publications in the field of mechanical engineering and additive manufacturing.
