Zied Bahroun is a Professor in the Department of Industrial Engineering at the American University of Sharjah, UAE. He brings a rich educational background with a B.Sc. in Industrial Engineering, a Master's in Computer Science, and a Ph.D. in Automatic Control. His research spans a wide array of interests, including multi-objective optimization, supply chain management, and ERP systems. He is also deeply involved in production and inventory control, applied operations research, and scheduling in both manufacturing and healthcare sectors. His expertise extends to simulation, stochastic processes, and cutting-edge topics such as Industry 4.0 and the Internet of Things. Additionally, he focuses on composite material optimization and educational technology.
Vian Ahmed is a Senior Fellow of the UK Higher Education Academy and a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Building. She has worked in industry and gathered more than 23 years of academic and industrial experience in the UK and overseas. She holds a BEng. in Civil Engineering and both an MSc and a Ph.D. in Construction. She joined the American University of Sharjah as a Professor in Industrial Engineering in August 2018 with a long track record of research supervision, publications, and income generation.
