Dr. Nils Tångefjord Basse is currently a Research Scientist at RISE Research Institutes of Sweden. He holds a Ph.D. degree in plasma physics from the Niels Bohr Institute at the University of Copenhagen, Denmark. From 2016 to 2019, he was a Senior Specialist in Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) at Danfoss Refrigeration and Air Conditioning Controls in Denmark, conducting valve research and development. From 2019 to 2023, he was a Senior CAE Engineer at Volvo Cars, conducting electric driveline research and development. His main specialty and passion is fluid mechanics. He has studied flow in fusion plasmas, gases, liquids, and mixtures; understanding is gained by a combination of measurements, theory, modeling, and simulation.
