Author Biographies

Ahmed M Agiba is currently affiliated with the Tecnológico de Monterrey (Mexico). He holds a Bachelor's degree in Pharmaceutical Sciences (Misr University for Science and Technology, Egypt), a Master of Pharmaceutical Sciences in Pharmaceutics (Ain Shams University, Egypt), and a Master of Science in Biotechnology (University of Chemical Technology and Metallurgy, Bulgaria, and University of Oviedo, Spain), with a fully funded scholarship from the EU Commission (Erasmus Mundus Scholarship). He held two research fellowships: Joint NAM S&T Centre - ICCBS Research Fellowship at ICCBS, University of Karachi (Pakistan), and FCT Research Grant at CICECO - Aveiro Institute of Materials (Portugal). He earned a PhD in Nanotechnology from the Tecnológico de Monterrey (Mexico), with a fully funded PhD scholarship from CONACYT. He has worked for top leading pharmaceutical industries in the Middle East, Africa and worldwide, such as SIGMA Pharmaceutical Industries (Product Development Senior Specialist at Formulation R&D); Egyptian Armed Forces Pharmaceutical Factory (Principal Researcher); Pharco-B International (Formulation R&D Section Head); October Pharma (Formulation R&D Section Head); Marcyrl Pharmaceutical Industries (Formulation R&D Section Head). He has also worked for top ranked academic institutions in Egypt and Mexico, such as Sinai University and Tecnológico de Monterrey (Assistant Lecturer), and October University and Misr University for Science and Technology (Instructor).
Jose Luis Arreola-Ramirez is Associated Researcher of the Department of Airway Hyperresponsiveness in the National Institute of Respiratory Diseases (INER), Mexico City, Mexico. He is an Associate Professor at the Faculty of Sciences at National Autonomous University of Mexico. He completed his Ph.D., M.Sc., and DVM degree. He belong to the Mexican National Researchers Council (SNI).
Veronica Carbajal is Associated Researcher of the Department of Airway Hyperresponsiveness in the National Institute of Respiratory Diseases (INER), Mexico City, Mexico, and she is an Associate Professor at the Faculty of Sciences, National Autonomous University of Mexico. She completed her Ph.D., M.Sc., and Biology degree. She belong to the Mexican National Researchers Council (SNI).
Patricia Segura-Medina is the Senior Researcher and Head of the Department of Airway Hyperresponsiveness, in the National Institute of Respiratory Diseases (INER), Mexico City, Mexico, and she is Associate Professor at Monterrey Institute of Technology and Higher Education. She completed her Ph.D., M.Sc., and DVM at the Faculty of Medicine, National Autonomous University of Mexico. She is a member of multiple organizations, including the Scientific-Technical Committee of the REDCAM (Red Temática de Investigación en Contaminación Atmosférica y Mitigación del Cambio Climático) and the Mexican Researchers Council (SNI-Level II).
