Dr. Michael Sestito received his undergraduate degree at William and Mary, where he engaged in research and teaching opportunities. After graduating, he worked as a medical scribe for an ENT clinic in Richmond, VA prior to attending medical school at the University of Virginia. He currently works as a Resident at the Department of Surgery, with a specialty of surgery.
Dr. Mary Garland-Kledzik is an Assistant Professor, the Surgical Oncology, General Surgery Residency Associate Program Director, and the General Surgery Residency Associate Program Director at the Department of Surgery, West Virginia University. She obtained her BA at the University of Virginia and MD at the Florida International University. She completed her Postgraduate/Postdoctoral Training as a General Surgery Residency at Wake Forest University. She has won the Complex Surgical Oncology Fellowship from John Wayne Cancer Institute. Her clinical focus is on melanoma and soft tissue cancers and metastatic gastrointestinal disease. Her research interests are in treatment pathways and control of regional disease. She is also interested in surgical pre-habilitation and quality improvement.
