Bindu D Paul is an Associate Professor at the Department of Pharmacology and Molecular Sciences, Johns Hopkins School of Medicine. Bindu D Paul received a M.S. at the Madurai Kamaraj University (India) in 1993 and earned a Ph.D. at the Indian Institute of Science (India) in 2001. Bindu D Paul is a member of the Society for Neuroscience, the American Society for Cell Biology, the American Society for Biochemistry and Molecular Biology, and the American Society for Pharmacology and Experimental Therapeutics. Bindu D Paul won the Herbert Tabor Young Investigator Award from the American Society for Biochemistry and Molecular Biology in 2015 and the Poster Award from CHDI Foundation in 2014.
Andrew A Pieper, MD, Ph.D., is a board-certified psychiatrist and neuroscientist in the Departments of Psychiatry, Neurosciences, and Pathology at Case Western Reserve University (CWRU) and University Hospitals (UH) Cleveland Medical Center. He serves on the CWRU Rebecca E. Barchas, M.D. Professor of Translational Psychiatry and the UH Morley-Mather Chair in Neuropsychiatry. He also serves as a Psychiatrist at the Louis Stokes Cleveland VA Medical Center (VAMC) and as an Investigator at the University Hospitals Harrington Discovery Institute, where he is the Director of the Center for Brain Health Medicines. After graduating from Earlham College in Richmond, Indiana with Biology and Chemistry majors, he earned his MD and PhD (Neuroscience) degrees from Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine. He also conducted his medicine internship and psychiatry residency at Johns Hopkins Hospital. He is devoted to patient care and basic science research applied to disease, most keenly focused on neurodegeneration. He has received numerous honors, including elected membership to the American Society for Clinical Investigation and the American College of Psychiatrists, as well as the CWRU John S. Diekhoff Award for Distinguished Graduate Student Mentoring.
