Author Biographies

Walid Shalata is a renowned medical professional and a respected figure in the field of healthcare. He is now a Senior Lecturer at the Legacy Heritage Oncology Center and Dr. Larry Norton Institute, Soroka Medical Center, and Ben-Gurion University, Israel. His outstanding dedication and commitment to the field of oncology were recognized in 2022 when he was honored with the prestigious "Best Resident in Oncology" award in Israel. He is also a member of the European Society for Medical Oncology (ESMO), the American Society of Clinical Oncology (ASCO), and the Israeli Society for Clinical Oncology and Radiation Therapy (ISCORT).
Rachel Steckbeck is a 2024 MD candidate at the Medical School for International Health and Sciences, Ben-Gurion University, Israel. She received her B.S. in Molecular Biology at Messiah College and was honored with the Steinbrecher Fellowship and Biochemistry Award. Before her current role, she was a Medical Scribe at CIMS, Harrisburg, PA, USA. She is interested in internal medicine, emergency medicine, and global health.
