Luigi Naldi earned a diploma in Classical Studies and a degree in Industrial Design at Scuola Politecnica di Design in Milan before moving to medicine. He graduated as a medical doctor at the University of Pavia in 1981. From 1984 to 1986, he was a junior investigator at the Laboratory of Clinical Pharmacology of the Mario Negri Institute in Milan. In 1988, he moved to the clinical arena at the Department of Dermatology of the University of Milan, Bergamo General Hospital. He qualified as a Full Professor of Dermatology in 2013. In 2017, he started a new clinical position as the Director of the Department of Dermatology at the General Hospital of Vicenza. His main research area is in the clinical epidemiology of major skin disorders and the evaluation of complex interventions and educational programmes at the population level.
Anna Belloni Fortina received her MD from the University of Padua in 1991. She is the Head of Paediatric Dermatology and a full Professor at the University of Padova Medical School. Her research interests are skin complications in organ transplant recipients, atopic dermatitis and allergic contact dermatitis, and the dermoscopy of pigmented lesions in both children and adult patients.
