Prof. Dr. Alexander Rapoport is the Head of the Laboratory Institute of Microbiology and Biotechnology at the University of Latvia. He received a Doctor of Science in the former USSR at the Institute of Microbiology, USSR Academy of Sciences, Moscow, Russia, in 1988. His research interests include cell biology, cytology of microorganisms, physiology of microorganisms, molecular biology of microorganisms, biochemistry and biophysics of microorganisms, and biotechnology of microorganisms.
Prof. Bijender Singh is currently working as Professor and Head of the Department of Biotechnology at Central University of Haryana, Mahendergarh. Prof. Singh received his doctorate in Microbiology from the University of Delhi South Campus, New Delhi in 2008. In 2009, he earned a Young Scientist Award (Industrial Microbiology) from the Association of Microbiologists of India. In 2011, he earned a DST-Fast Track Young Scientist award. His research interests include microbial enzymes: production, characteristics, and multifarious applications in improving food and feed nutrition, plant growth promotion, bioenergy, and management of environmental pollution. Prof. Singh is also featured among top 2 % scientists of India in a study conducted by Stanford University, USA
