Prof. Dr. Alberto Borges Peixoto holds a degree in medicine from the Federal University of Triângulo Mineiro (2000), a Ph.D. in obstetrics from the Federal University of São Paulo (2019), and a master's degree in medicine from the Federal University of Triângulo Mineiro (2006). Research fellow in fetal medicine at King's College Hospital, London. He is currently an adjunct professor of the Department of Gynecology and Obstetrics at the Federal University of Triângulo Mineiro (UFTM); professor of the Discipline of Gynecology and Obstetrics at the University of Uberaba (UNIUBE); coordinator of the Medical Residency Program in Gynecology and Obstetrics at the University of Uberaba; doctor in the Fetal Medicine Sector, Sabin Medicina Diagnóstica, Uberaba-MG; and assistant doctor in the Discipline of Gynecology and Obstetrics at the Federal University of Triângulo Mineiro (UFTM). He has experience in the area of medicine, with an emphasis on maternal and child health, working mainly on the following topics: pregnancy, fetal medicine, fetal cardiology, eclampsia, obesity, high blood pressure, and inflammatory mediators.

Dr. Maria Paola Bonasoni works as a fetal and paediatric pathologist at the Pathology Unit in Azienda Unità Sanitaria Locale, IRCCS di Reggio, Emilia, Italy. She trained as a fetal pathologist at St. George's Hospital (University of London, London, UK) for 6 months in 2007–2008, followed by a one-year pathology training at Gaslini Hospital (Genova, Italy). Then, she further trained in fetal and paediatric pathology, also in paediatric forensic pathology, from 2011 to 2013 at the Hospital for Sick Children and Mount Sinai Hospital (University of Toronto, Toronto, Canada). Her research interests focus on fetal pathology, especially infections and malformations. She has also a special interest in forensic paediatric pathology. She is the guest editor of the Special Issues "Infections in Pregnancy and Pathology Findings" and "Infections in Pregnancy and Pathology Findings, 2nd Edition" in MDPI. Prof. Dr. Gabriele Tonni works as a senior registrar in the Department of Obstetrics & Gynecology, Istituto di Ricerca a Carattere Clinico-Scientifico, AUSL di Reggio, Emilia, Italy. He is the guest editor of the Special Issue "State of the Art in Fetal Surgery: Past, Present and Future Perspectives" in MDPI.
