Prof. Dr. Fabio Rodrigo Thewes works in the Plant Science Department at the Federal University of Pampa (Itaqui, Brazil). Sunil Pareek is a full professor of horticulture (PHT), serving as Head of the Department of Agriculture and Environmental Sciences and Director of the Internal Quality Assurance Cell at the National Institute of Food Technology Entrepreneurship & Management, Kundli, India. He is also an adjunct faculty member at Maharana Pratap Horticulture University, Karnal, India. His research interest is focused on the extension of the shelf life of fresh produce and fresh-cut fruits and vegetables, postharvest physiology, postharvest chilling injuries, melatonin studies in fruit postharvest physiology, and reducing postharvest losses in fresh produce. He has completed several research projects supported by ICAR, the World Bank, DST, DBT, USAID, etc. Dr. Pareek has published over 100 research papers, 10 books, 3 manuals, 6 technical bulletins, 50 popular articles, and 52 book chapters to his credit. Dr. Pareek is a series editor of ‘Innovations in Postharvest Technology’ from CRC Press, Taylor & Francis, USA. He is the editor of seven SCI journals, namely Scientific Reports, Journal of Food Quality, Journal of Food Biochemistry, Journal of Food Processing and Preservation, and Folia Horticulturae. Recently, he has founded the new journal “Food Safety and Health” as Associate Editor and “Future Postharvest and Food” as Co-Editor-in-Chief at Wiley. He is a member of several important policy-making committees and on the research advisory board of important research institutions.
Dr. Daniel Alexandre Neuwald works at the Lake of Constance Research Centre for Fruit Cultivation (Ravensburg, Germany). From the Universidade Federal de Santa Maria, he received his Master's degree in 2004 and earned a Ph.D. in 2008. From 2006 to 2015, he was a researcher at postharvest physiology and technology in Kompetenzzentrum Obstbau Bodensse. His research interests mainly focus on Food Quality, Plant Physiology, Food Science, Food Chemistry, Antioxidant Activity, Energy Saving, Food Analysis, Food Science and Technology, Food Processing, and Food Preservation.
