Ningshao Xia is a professor at the School of Life Sciences, Xiamen University, Xiamen, China. He is working at Xiamen University as the director of the National Institute of Diagnostics and Vaccine Development in Infectious Diseases, and the director of the State Key Laboratory of Molecular Vaccinology and Molecular Diagnostics. His major research interest focuses on the development of vaccines and diagnostics, especially for viral hepatitis, AIDS, influenza, hand–foot–mouth disease, tuberculosis and human papillomavirus-related diseases. He has been listed in the Top 20 translational researchers of 2016 and 2020 that were ranked by Nature Biotechnology. He has published more than 400 peer-reviewed papers.
Quan Yuan is a professor at the National Institute of Diagnostics and Vaccine Development in Infectious Diseases, Xiamen University, Xiamen, China. He received his PhD in biochemistry and molecular biology from Xiamen University in 2012. His main research focuses on innovative diagnosis and treatment technologies and drugs for hepatitis B virus. He has published more than 80 SCI papers, including more than 20 research papers as the first/co-first/corresponding author. Ten diagnostic products transformed from his research results have obtained China NMPA registration certificates and six EU CE certifications.
