Seiichiro Ii is a Principal Researcher at the Research Center for Structural Materials, National Institute for Materials Science (NIMS), Tsukuba, Japan. He completed his Ph.D. studies in Materials Science at Kumamoto University, Japan; after his graduation, he worked at the University of Tokyo, Kyushu University as a Post-doc Researcher and at Sojo University as an Assistant and Associate Professor at the Department of Mechanical Engineering, Sojo University. He is interested in the grain boundaries and interfaces in crystalline materials and has been characterizing their microstructure by electron microscopes.
