Tiffany L. Weir is a Professor of Food Science and Human Nutrition at Colorado State University. She holds an M.S. degree in Plant Pathology from Pennsylvania State University and a Ph.D. in Cell and Molecular Biology from Colorado State University. She conducted postdoctoral work at the Pontifical Catholic University of Peru, studying soil microbiomes and tropical chemical ecology. Her current work focuses on the interactions between diet, the microbiome, and cardiometabolic disease. She teaches courses in Fermentation Microbiology, Personalized Nutrition, and Probiotics and Phytochemicals for Health. She is also currently the Microbiome Network Coordinator at Colorado State University and Chief Special Editor for the Nutrition, Metabolism, and the Microbiome section of Frontiers in Microbiomes.
