Hiroyoshi Suzuki currently works as the deputy director, a professor, and the chief of urology at the Toho University Sakura Medical Center. He received his M.D. from the Chiba University School of Medicine in 1990 and his Ph.D. from the Chiba University Graduate School of Medicine in 1996. He continued his postdoctoral fellowship at the Johns Hopkins University Hospital Oncology Center from 1996 to 1998. His research interests are urologic oncology (especially prostate cancer), laparoscopic surgery, andrology, and endocrinology. He won the 5th Inohana Alumni Association Academic Award in 2000, the Excellent Award of the International Andrology Society meeting in 2001, and the Excellent Award of Japan Urological Association (clinical research) in 2004.
