Isilda Amorim currently works at the International Iberian Nanotechnology Laboratory, doing research in the synthesis of electrocatalysts for electrochemical water splitting to deploy green hydrogen. She obtained a Degree in Biochemistry from 2010 to 2013 and a Master's degree in Characterization Techniques and Chemical Analysis (Chemistry) from 2013 to 2016. In 2023, she finished her PhD in Chemistry, with a Specialization in Physical and Analytical Chemistry, granted by the University of Minho. During her PhD, she focused on synthesizing transition metal-based materials, with an emphasis on transition metal phosphides (TMPs) for electrochemical water splitting and electrochemical sensors of phenolic compounds, highlighting the potential of TMPs in different electrochemical applications.
Fátima Bento has been an Assistant Professor at the Chemistry Department at the University of Minho since 1997. She obtained a degree from the Department of Chemistry, University of Lisbon, in 1988 and a Ph.D. from the Department of Chemistry, University of Minho, in 1997. Her research interests include Electrochemistry, analytical chemistry, sensors, phenolic compounds, humic substances, antioxidants, food, beverages, and the environment.
