Loes Kooreman currently works at the
Maastricht University, Maastricht, The Netherlands. She studied medicine at the
University of Maastricht, where she also completed her training as a
pathologist. During this training, she enjoyed internships at St. Elisabeth
Hospital in Tilburg and the Zuyderland Hospital in Heerlen. In 2014, she was
recognized as a pathologist and has since worked as a staff member at the
MUMC+. Since September 2022, she has been co-chair of the breast care group
of the Maastricht Comprehensive Cancer Center. Since November 2022, she has been chair of the Dutch Gynecology Pathology Working Group (NWGP). She is
particularly concerned with gynecological pathology, breast pathology, and
cytology. In addition to patient care, she is also closely involved in
scientific research, which also involves collaboration in multidisciplinary
teams.
Shanshan Qiu is an Associate Professor at the Department of
Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery, Maastricht University, Maastricht, The
Netherlands. She is also the Consultant plastic surgeon and Operations Manager
of Maastricht University Medical Center and Principal Investigator of the Lymphedema
research group of the GROW School for Oncology and Reproduction. She graduated from
the Medical School of Universidad Complutense de Madrid. Her research keywords
are reconstructive microsurgery and peripheral nerve. She is a member of the
Dutch Lymphedema Protocol Guidelines.
