Dr. Federico Geraldini is a Medical Doctor at the Department of Anesthesia and Intensive Care at Padova University Hospital. Dr. Geraldini graduated from Sapienza University of Rome with an MD in 2012. Dr. Geraldini worked as a Resident Doctor at the University of Padua between 2013 and 2018 and spent four months at the Angelo Hospital in Mestre as a Medical Doctor.
Prof. Dr. Chiara Robba is a Consultant at the Anaesthesia and Intensive Care at San Martino Policlinico Hospital, Genova, Italy. She earned her PhD in Neuroscience at the University of Genova. She worked for many years at the Neurocritical Care Unit at Addenbrooke’s Hospital, Cambridge, UK. Her research interests are mainly brain injury, neurointensive care, neuromonitoring, autoregulation, and mechanical ventilation. She is currently Chair of the Neuro-Intensive Care section of the ESICM.
CostantinoBalestra is the Director of the Integrative Physiology Laboratory and full-time Professor at the Haute École Bruxelles-Brabant (Brussels). He acts as VP of DAN Europe for Research and Education and immediate past President of the European Underwater and Baromedical Society (EUBS). He started his career as a researcher studying the neurophysiology of fatigue, then shifted his interest to environmental physiology issues. He teaches physiology, biostatistics, research methodology, and other subjects.
Fabio Silvio Taccone is a Professor at the Department of Intensive Care of Hôpital Universitaire de Bruxelles (HUB) in Brussels. He obtained his medical degree from the University of Naples Federico II in 2000, post-graduate licenses in Internal Medicine and Intensive Care Medicine at Université Libre de Bruxelles, and his doctoral degree in October 2014 with a thesis on cerebral microcirculation during sepsis. He has a strong interest in critical care medicine, with particular research on antibiotic pharmacokinetics, brain injury, microcirculation during severe infections, therapeutic hypothermia as a neuro-protective strategy, and ECMO. He has been Chair of the Neuro-Intensive Care section of the European Society of Intensive Care Medicine (ESICM) since 2016 and a member of the Advisory Board of the International Symposium of Intensive Care and Emergency Medicine (ISICEM) since 2011.
