Stephen John Allen received his MD from the University of Birmingham Medical School, UK, in 1992. He is a Professor of Paediatrics at Liverpool School of Tropical Medicine, UK, and Secretary of the Commonwealth Association of Paediatric Gastroenterology and Nutrition (https://capgan.net/). His current research interests include environmental enteric dysfunction, malnutrition, diarrhoea, inflammatory bowel disease, and probiotics.
