Author Biographies

Dr. Lewis Nkenyereye is an Assistant Professor and director of CIoT Lab (Cybersecurity and Internet of Things Lab) at the Department of Computer and Information Security, Sejong University, Seoul, South Korea. His educational experience includes a Master's degree in Information Technology from Uganda Christian University from 2010 to 2012 and a Ph.D. in Information Security from Pukyong National University from 2013 to 2017. His career experience is Post Doctoral Research at the Pusan ​​National University from March 2017 to February 2018 and Assistant Professor at the Sejong University from March 2018 to the present. He was a visiting scholar at Thompson Rivers University, BC, Canada, and Georgia Southern University, Statesboro, GA, USA. His major research interests lie in investigations of IoT/M2M ventures, data interoperability initiatives, and security/privacy-related projects.
Lionel Nkenyereye received a BS degree in data communication from the High Institute of Technology, Burundi, in 2005 and MS and PhD degrees in computer engineering from Dong-Eui University, South Korea, in 2016 and 2019, respectively. He was a postdoctoral fellow researcher at Sejong University, Seoul, South Korea, from 2019 to 2020. He has been a postdoctoral fellow with Pukyong National University, Busan, South Korea since July 2021. His research interests include vehicle-to-everything communication, 5G and IoT, Deep Reinforcement Learning, and software-defined networks.
