Edward Araujo Júnior, MD, PhD, is an Associate Professor in the discipline of Fetal Medicine, Department of Obstetrics, Paulista School of Medicine - Federal University of São Paulo (EPM-UNIFESP). He obtained a medical degree from the Federal University of Triângulo Mineiro (UFTM) in 2000. He worked as a medical resident in Obstetrics and Gynecology at the Hospital of Clinics, School of Medicine of Ribeirão Preto – University of São Paulo (FMRP-USP) in 2003. Then he obtained a Master's degree (2006) and Ph.D. (2007) and studied as a Postdoctoral Fellow (2008) at the Department of Obstetrics, Paulista School of Medicine - Federal University of São Paulo (EPM-UNIFESP). He subsequently worked as a Postdoctoral Fellow in Fetal Therapy at the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology, Katholieke Universiteit Leuven (Belgium) in 2011, a Postdoctoral Fellow in Fetal Cardiology at the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology, Baylor College of Medicine (USA) in 2012, a Postdoctoral Fellow in Fetal Therapy at the Department of Obstetrics, University of Leiden (The Netherlands), and a Member of the Brazilian College of Obstetrics and Gynecology and the Brazilian College of Radiology. His research interests are in the fields of obstetrics, high-risk pregnancies, perinatology, prenatal diagnosis, fetal cardiology, and three-dimensional ultrasound.
Dr. Heron Werner is currently a consultant in Maternal-Fetal Medicine at the Clínica de Diagnóstico por Imagem (CDPI), Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. He received his Master’s degree in Obstetrics and Ph.D. in Radiology at the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro. He was a Visiting Professor at the Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia. He has 144 publications with 1030 citations and an h-index of 19 (Scopus, 25 December 2023). His research interests include magnetic resonance, fetal medicine, diagnostic radiology, doppler ultrasonography, etc.
Roberta Granese received her degree in Medicine in 1998 from the University of Messina, Italy. She specialized in Gynecology and Obstetrics in 2003 and received her PhD degree at the University of Messina in 2008. She attended numerous internships at Italian and foreign Universities. Currently, she is a Senior Lecturer in the Department of Biomedical and Dental Sciences and Morphofunctional Imaging at the University Hospital of Messina. She is lecturing various Master's, PhD, and Degree Courses and has 100 publications with 2827 citations and an h-index of 31 (Scopus, 25 December 2023). The areas of her major interests are Ultrasound in Obstetrics and Gynecology, Endoscopic Surgery (laparoscopic and hysteroscopic) and Endometriosis.
