Author Biographies

Hasan Ali Abbas received his Ph.D. Degree in Geotechnical Engineering from the Universiti Teknologi MARA (UiTM) (Shah Alam, Malaysia) in 2020. He is currently working as a Senior Lecturer at the Department of Building and Construction Techniques Engineering, Madenat Alelem University College (Iraq), and Establisher of the Iraqi Geotechnical Genome (IGG). His expertise is in the fields of Engineering Geology, Soil Mechanics, Rock Mechanics, Slope Stability, Exploration Geophysics, Geomechanics, Tunneling, Soil Stabilization, and Geotechnical Engineering.
Duaa Al-Jeznawi is a former grad student at the Department of Civil Engineering of Texas A&M University (College Station, TX, USA). She currently is a Ph.D. Candidate at the Universiti Teknologi MARA (UiTM) (Malaysia). She is working at the Faculty of Civil Engineering, Al-Nahrain University (Iraq). Her research area is related to experimental and numerical geotechnical modeling, saturated and unsaturated soils, soil–pile interaction under dynamic loading, and soil improvement.
Musab Aied Qissab Al-Janabi completed his Ph.D. studies (ranked 1st) in Structural Engineering at the University of Baghdad (Iraq) in 2011. He used to be a Postdoctoral Researcher at the Middle East Technical University (Ankara, Turkey). He is now a Professor of Structural Engineering and the Head of the Department of Civil Engineering, College of Engineering, Al-Nahrain University (Jadriya, Iraq). His research interests lie in Earthquake Engineering and the Structural Dynamics, Design, and Seismic Performance Assessment of Earthquake Resilient Structures; Finite Element Analysis of Structures; Nonlinear Behavior of Concrete Structures; and Analysis and Design of Steel Structures and Nanomaterials.
Luís Filipe Almeida Bernardo holds a Ph.D. degree in Civil Engineering from the University of Coimbra, Portugal. He is an Associate Professor (University Teacher) with Habilitation at the Department of Civil Engineering and Architecture, University of Beira Interior, Covlilhã, Portugal. His research interests include structural analysis and design, numerical modeling and optimization, concrete structures, structural materials, and building systems.
