Dr. Nelson Villalobos is a researcher/professor at the Academy of Physiology and in the Postgraduate Section of the Escuela Superior de Medicina at the Instituto Politécnico Nacional. He completed a research stay at the Instituto Cajal/CSIC in the Department of Functional Neurobiology and Systems (Neurobiology of the Basal Ganglia), Madrid, Spain. He is a member of the Society for Neurosciences and the Sociedad Mexicana de Bioquímica (branch of Neurobiology). His research topics include neural circuit neurophysiology, network neuroscience, Parkinson's disease, and epilepsy.
