Dr. Francesco Castagnini is a researcher at the IRCCS Istituto Ortopedico Rizzoli. He has a degree in Medicine, with a specialization in Orthopedics and Traumatology, Alma Mater Studiorum at the University of Bologna. Dr. Stefano Lucchini is a Medical Doctor at the Orthopaedic-Traumatology and Prosthetic Surgery and Revisions of Hip and Knee Implants, IRCCS Istituto Ortopedico Rizzoli, Italy. He earned a degree in Medicine and Surgery from the University of Pisa in 2016, and specializes in Orthopedics and Traumatology at Alma Mater Studiorum—University of Bologna, with honors in 2021. From 2016 to 2021, he participated in clinical activities, surgical activities, and research as a doctor in specialist training at the Rizzoli Orthopedic Institute in Bologna.
Dr. Bruno Cavalieri holds a degree in Medicine and Surgery (2015) from the University of Rome “La Sapienza”, with a specialization in Orthopedics and Traumatology (2021) from the University of Bologna with honors. Currently, he is the MD at the Orthopedic-Traumatology and Prosthetic Surgery and Revisions of Hip and Knee Implants, IRCCS Istituto Ortopedico Rizzoli, Italy. His main research
interests include total knee replacement, total hip replacement, and traumatology.
Professor Alberto Di Martino has been an Associate Professor in orthopedics at the University of Bologna since 2019. He was an Assistant Professor in Orthopedics at the University Campus Bio-Medico of Rome. Beginning in 2017, he has been appointed as Adjunct Professor in Orthopedic Surgery at the Sidney Kimmel Medical College of Thomas Jefferson University, Philadelphia (USA). His clinical and research activities are directed towards hip surgery, spine diseases and surgery, and the hip–spine relationship.
Prof. Cesare Faldini is a Full Professor of Orthopedic and Trauma Surgery at the University of Bologna, and Chairman of the Department of Orthopedic and Trauma Surgery at the University of Bologna Istituto Ortopedico Rizzoli. After graduating from Pisa University in 1996, he was assistant to Professor Sandro Giannini at the Istituto Ortopedico Rizzoli, Bologna. He became an Assistant Professor in 2001, Associate Professor in 2006, and was Chairmen of Department Rizzoli Sicilia from 2011 to 2016.
Prof. Francesco Traina is a Professor of Orthopedic Surgery and a Head Chief of the Department of Orthopedic-Traumatology and Prosthetic Surgery and Revisions of Hip and Knee Implants at the IRCCS Istituto Ortopedico Rizzoli. He has a degree in Medicine from the University of Ferrara. His research interests include total hip and knee replacement, revision hip and knee replacement, hip and knee arthroscopy, and cartilage regeneration with mesenchymal stem cells.
