Dr. Maria Maisto is a Post Doctoral Researcher at the Department of Pharmacy, School of Medicine and Surgery, University of Naples Federico II. She completed her PhD studies at the University of Naples Federico II. She has 43 publications with 796 citations and an h-index of 11 (Scopus, 9 January 2023). Her research interests include nutraceuticals, bioactive compounds, antioxidant activity, mass spectrometry, and chromatography.
Prof. Gian Carlo Tenore received his Ph.D. degree in Pharmacologically Active Natural Substances at the Department of Pharmacy, University of Naples Federico II, in 2003. He was a Research Assistant in Organic Chemistry at the Department of Pharmacy from 2003 to 2009. In 2009, he was designated as a PhD Researcher and Assistant Professor of Food Chemistry at the Department of Pharmacy. In 2016, he was designated as an Associate Professor of Food Chemistry and the Scientific Responsible for the ChimNutra laboratories at the Department of Pharmacy. His research activity deals with food chemistry and nutraceutical sciences. The results from his studies have been the object of 166 scientific publications in international journals with an impact factor.
Dr. Mariano Stornaiuolo is an Associate Professor at the Department of Pharmacy, University of Naples Federico II. He completed his Ph.D. studies in Genetic and Molecular Medicine at the University of Naples Federico II in 2006. His research interests include the mechanisms of action of antioxidants, the interactions between food and genes, cell biology, nutraceuticals, food supplements, and metabolic syndromes.
Vincenzo Summa received his Master’s Degree in Chemistry from the University of Rome La Sapienza, and a PhD in Organic Chemistry from the University of Wuppertal (Germany). Since 2019, he has been a full professor of Pharmaceutical Chemistry at the University of Naples Federico II. His research interests mainly focus on organic chemistry; analytical chemistry;
antivirals; nutraceuticals; and food chemistry.
