Prof. Dr. Daniela Sapienza is an Associate Professor at the Department of Biomedical Sciences, Dental and of Morphological and Functional Images, University of Messina. She completed her PhD studies in Forensic Medicine at the University of Messina in 2000. She has 45 publications with 293 citations and an h-index of 11 (Scopus, 29 December 2023). Her research interests include forensic science, forensic genetics, forensic pathology, social medicine, medical malpractice, and genetics screening in occupational exposure.
Prof. Antonino Germanà is a Full Professor of Domestic Animal Anatomy at the Department of Veterinary Sciences of the University of Messina. Born in Messina on 4 June 1974, he graduated in Medicine, out and normal and transgenic zebrafish. He collaborates with numerous national and international research centres. He is a member of national and international scientific societies including the Italian Association of Veterinary Morphologists (AIMV) and the European Association of Veterinary Anatomists (EAVA). San Francisco, USA) and Isabel Farñnas (Universidad de Valencia, Spain). He is the author of numerous publications reviewed on Medline with IF, among them Rockefeller University, New York, USA. He attended the “Advances in Neurobiology” specialization course University Spin Off Commission. His research keywords include medicine biochemistry; genetics and molecular biology; agricultural and biological sciences neuroscience; veterinary science; immunology and microbiology.
Antonio Leni is currently an Associate Professor at the Department of Human Pathology "Gaetano Barresi", Section of Anatomic Pathology, University of Messina. One of his research interests is the role of autophagy and its regulation in cancer cells. His research keywords include cancer and pathology.
