Author Biographies

Vladimir Ulansky is a Professor in the Department of Electronics, Robotics, Monitoring, and IoT Technologies at the National Aviation University (Ukraine). He graduated with the highest honors from the Kyiv Institute of Civil Aviation Engineers (KICAE, now NAU) in 1975 with an M.Sc. in Aeronautical Radio Engineering. He received a Ph.D. in Technical Cybernetics from Kyiv Polytechnic University in 1981 and a D.Sc. in Aeronautical Engineering from KICAE in 1989. From 1975 to 1984, he worked in the research laboratory at the KICAE as an Engineer and Senior Research Fellow. From 1985 to 1995, he worked as an Associate Professor and Professor in the Departments of Aeronautical Communications, Aircraft Radio, Electronic Equipment Maintenance, and Electronics at the KICAE. From 1995 to 2011, he worked as an Associate Professor in the Department of Aeronautical Engineering and the Department of Electrical and Electronic Engineering at Al Fateh University, Tripoli. He has developed avionics maintenance programs for several wide-body aircraft. His scientific activities are in RF electronics, the mathematical modeling of aircraft equipment maintenance, and operational reliability. He is a fellow of the Institute of Mathematics and its Applications (UK), a senior member of the IEEE (USA), and a full member of Sigma Xi (USA). He received the Best Paper Award at the Fourth International Conference on Through-life Engineering Services, 3-4 November 2015, Cranfield University, UK.
Dr. Ahmed Raza earned an M.E. in Radio-electronic Equipment Maintenance (1998) and a Ph.D. in Engineering Sciences ("Mathematical Maintenance Models of Vehicles’ Equipment-2018") from the National Aviation University, Ukraine. Currently, he is a Technical Advisor at the Private Department of the President of the UAE in Abu Dhabi. His expertise in Maintenance Management has yielded over 30 publications and presentations. Dr. Raza is an active member of various international academic and scientific organizations, including the Institute of Mathematics and its Applications, IEEE, the Institution of Engineering and Technology, the American Mathematical Society, the American Institute of Aeronautics and Astronautics, the National Society of Professional Engineers, and ORCID (0000-0001-7555-2473), SCOPUS ID 56443562800. He has received awards such as the Best Presented Paper Award at the Fourth International Conference on Through-life Engineering Services (2015), issued by the International Academy for Production Engineering, CIRP, Paris. Dr. Raza's research interests encompass Predictive Maintenance, Machine Learning, Intelligent Control, Aerospace Engineering, Mathematics, Operability and Availability, Decision Making, Game Theory, Construction Management, Durability, and Sustainability. He holds affiliations with the National Aviation University (Ukraine) in the Department of Electronics, Robotics, Monitoring, and IoT Technologies, where he also holds a post-doc position.
