Fei Li is an Associate Professor at the Department of Cardiovascular Surgery, Union Hospital, Tongji Medical College, Huazhong University of Science and Technology in Wuhan, China. He obtained his Bachelor’s degree in Medicine and Doctorate in Medicine from Tongji Medical College, Huazhong University of Science and Technology. From March 2010 to June 2012, he underwent clinical and research training in the Department of Cardiovascular Surgery at Tongji Medical College, Huazhong University of Science and Technology. He also attended as an Exchange Graduate Student at Universität Duisburg-Essen from January 2010 to September 2010. Since July 2012, he has been a Surgical Attending at the Department of Cardiovascular Surgery, Union Hospital, Tongji Medical College, Huazhong University of Science and Technology.
Nianguo Dong, MD, PhD, is a Professor at the Department of Cardiovascular Surgery, Union Hospital, Tongji Medical College, Huazhong University of Science and Technology, Wuhan, China. He is the vice
president of the Chinese Society for Thoracic and Cardiovascular Surgery, the vice president of the Chinese Association for Cardiovascular Surgeons, and an elective member of the American Association for Thoracic Surgery. He has remarkable achievements in the surgical treatment of complex congenital heart disease in infants, end-stage heart disease, and severe valvular disease. His research interests include cardiovascular tissue engineering and regenerative medicine, heart valve calcification, myocardial protection, and heart transplantation. He is the author of more than 154 peer-reviewed journal articles, as well as numerous book chapters and abstracts.
