Candy Kgabi is a dentist with a focus on forensic dentistry, currently serving as a Dental Officer at Selebi Phikwe Government Hospital in Botswana since March 2020. Kgabi holds a Master of Science in Forensic Dentistry from the University of Dundee, earned in 2023. She obtained her Bachelor of Dental Surgery degree in 2018 at Dalian Medical University. Kgabi has received the prestigious John Clement Award for the best presentation at the Association Forensic Odontology for Human Rights in 2023, showcasing a commitment to advancing the field of forensic dentistry.
Dr. Scheila Manica is a Clinical Senior Lecturer at the School of Dentistry, University of Dundee, Scotland. She holds a Master’s degree in Forensic Odontology from the University of Glamorgan (2011). She completed her Ph.D. studies in Oral growth and dental development at Queen Mary University of London (2015). Currently, she is the Programme Lead for the following part-time programmes: MSc in Legal Odontology (Pg.Dip. and Pg.Cert.) at the University of Dundee. She also supervises full-time MSc, MFOdont students, and Ph.D. researchers.
Dr. Hemlata Pandey is a well-established full-time practitioner in the field of Forensic Odontology. She is a Lecturer (Teaching and Research) at the Centre for Forensic and Legal Medicine, University of Dundee, Scotland, UK. She is the Programme Lead for full-time MSc and master's programs in forensic odontology. Previously, she was Assistant Professor (Odontology Consultant) at the Department of Forensic Medicine at the prestigious institute of Seth GS Medical College and KEM Hospital, Mumbai, India. She has a Law Degree (LLB) from Government Law College (Mumbai) and a Diploma in Forensic Human Identification (London, UK). She is an Academic Advisor to the Indian Board of Forensic Odontology. She has experience in providing expertise in cases of identification of human remains, dental anthropology, 2D and 3D facial approximation and superimposition, dental-age estimation, disaster victim identification, child abuse, vulnerable person abuse, dental malpractice, and negligence.
