Prof. Dong Wu is the Vice President of the Peking Union Medical College Hospital and Chief Physician in the Department of Gastroenterology. He is a member of the National Natural Science Foundation of China (NSFC) and the Ministry of Science and Technology and Beijing Municipal Science and Technology Commission. He has been authorized 22 invention patents and 18 utility model patents. He has presided over 12 national, provincial and ministerial research projects and published more than 240 articles as the first or corresponding author in peer-reviewed journals. He has significant clinical experience, specializing in the diagnosis and treatment of difficult, severe, and rare digestive diseases. He has published more than 70 case reports, which have constructed a diagnostic and therapeutic thinking system with the characteristics of PUMCH. In 2021, he was awarded the first prize for medical research innovation by the China Association of Research Hospitals, and in 2022, he was awarded the honor of "Top 10 Clinical Research in China's Gastroenterology Field".
