Clara Marín is a professor of Microbiology and Infectious Diseases of Poultry at the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine at CEU Cardenal Herrera University, where she also directs the Research Group on Zoonotic Disease Control in Poultry Science. She received her PhD in Veterinary Medicine with European Mention from the CEU Cardenal Herrera University (Valencia, 2009). She is a member of the European College of Poultry Veterinary Sciences (2014) and Vice President of the World Veterinary Poultry Association (2023). She has been involved in Spanish and UK national research studies for the control of Salmonella and Campylobacter, including prevalence studies and the development of on-farm cleaning and disinfection tools to prevent zoonotic pathogens. Her research interests include poultry veterinary science, epidemiology, Salmonella, and Campylobacter.
