Pilar Bosch-Roig is an Assistant Professor at the Polytechnic University of Valencia. She has a Ph.D. at the “Polytechnic University of Valencia” (UPV), Spain. She has worked at Uniklinikum Bonn in Germany and the University of Molise, Italy. She is a member of the “University Institute of Restoration of Cultural Heritage” (IRP). Her research lines are based on microbiology applied to cultural heritage, including cultural heritage environmental air quality analysis, biocleaning, and biodeterioration, focusing on developing environmentally friendly techniques and products.
Susana Martín-Rey currently works at the Polytechnic University of Valencia, Valencia, Spain. She received her Ph.D. in Fine Arts in the specialty of Conservation and Restoration of Cultural Assets and Chemical Sciences in 2004 and 2007, respectively. Since 2013, she has been the Director of the Art and Heritage Fund of the Polytechnic University of Valencia. She is a specialist in the methodological study of structural reinforcement systems in the intervention of paintings on canvas. Her lines of research and publications focus on the field of analysis and testing of eco-sustainable and non-carcinogenic materials in restorative treatments of paintings on fabric.
