Gopal Achari received his B.Tech. in Civil Engineering from
the Indian Institute of Technology (Delhi) in 1987, and an M.Sc. and Ph.D. in
Civil Engineering from the University of Calgary in 1991 and 1995, respectively.
He is a department head and professor at the Department of Civil Engineering,
University of Calgary. His areas of research mainly focus on water and
wastewater treatment, advanced oxidative processes, photocatalysis, and soil
remediation.
