Dr. Benjamin Bondue is currently a professor and head of the interstitial lung disease (ILD) clinic at the Department of Pneumology, Hôpital Erasme—Cliniques Universitaires de Bruxelles, Belgium. He holds a Doctor of Medicine degree and a PhD from Université libre de Bruxelles. He has published over 50 papers, with an H-index of 23 (Scopus, 29 December 2023).
Prof. Alessandra Kupper Cardozo is an Associate Professor at
the Université Libre de Bruxelles and is the head of the group of Inflammatory
and Cell Death Signalling Group. She received her Ph.D. degree from the Vrije Universiteit Brussels in 2003. Her main research focuses on diabetes, pancreatic cells, and immune response. She was a pioneer in performing transcriptome profiling in primary β cells, and she was the first to describe the role of NF-κB-induced endoplasmic reticulum stress in β-cells exposed to pro-inflammatory cytokines.
