Author Biographies

Kyuichi Yasui is a senior research scientist at the National Institute of Advanced Industrial Science and Technology (AIST) in Nagoya, Japan. Dr. Yasui received his Ph.D. from the Department of Physics at Waseda University in 1996. His current research focuses on theoretical and numerical studies on dislocations in solid electrolytes, sintering, bulk nanobubbles (ultrafine bubbles), sonochemistry, sonoluminescence, "Acoustic Cavitation and Bubble Dynamics" (Springer, 2018), flexoelectric and ferroelectric effects, ordered assembly of nanocubes, thermoacoustic engines, etc.
Koichi Hamamoto is a leader of the Energy Storage Materials Group at the Innovative Functional Materials Research Institute, National Institute of Advanced Industrial Science and Technology (AIST). He received his Ph.D. degree in Materials Engineering from the University of Tokyo in 2001. His research interests include the development of energy-saving manufacturing technologies for next-generation secondary batteries such as oxide-based all-solid-state batteries, the creation of functional structured electrodes for electrochemical devices, and molecular synthesis using electrolysis.
