Marc Niering is the Head of Science and Managing Director at the Institute of Biomechanics and Neurosciences, Nordic Science, Hannover, Germany. He holds an M.A. in Sports Science from Hochschule für Sport und Gesundheit Berlin (2015–2018), an M.Sc. in Neurorehabilitation from Hochschule Fresenius (2019–2020), an M.Sc. in Psychology from London Metropolitan University (2021–2022), and an M.Sc. in Applied Neuroscience from King’s College London (2021–2023). He was a head of Athletics & Rehabilitation SSV Jahn Regensburg GmbH & Co. KGaA (2015–2017), a lecturer at various universities and technical colleges in 2017, a founder of Center for Training Therapy & Performance Physiology and a managing partner and scientific director in 2020.
Dr. Nacera Wolf-Belala is the Head of the Institute of Biomechanics and Neurosciences, Nordic Science, Hannover, Germany. She holds a Sports Science B.A. from University of Hildesheim, Hildesheim, Germany (2009–2012), an M.Sc. in Sports Science from University of Potsdam, Potsdam, Germany (2012–2014), and a PhD in Sports - Neuroscience from University of Heidelberg, Heidelberg, Germany (2016–2021). She was a consultant for sports and organizational development, KreisSportBund Nienburg e.V., Nienburg/Weser (2015–2016), a research assistant at Robert Bosch Hospital Stuttgart–Department of Geriatrics and Clinic for Geriatric Rehabilitation (2018–2019), a research assistant in Network Aging Research (NAR) at Heidelberg University (2019–2020), and a study coordinator at Ulm University Hospital–Geriatric Center–Research Department (2020–2023).
Dr. Johanna Seifert is the Head of Medicine and Specialist in psychiatry and psychotherapy in the Department of Psychiatry, Social Psychiatry and Psychotherapy, Medical School Hannover, Hannover, Germany. She studied human medicine at the University of Regensburg, Regensburg, Germany (2014–2018), and earned a doctorate from the University of Regensburg in 2020. She was a Medical Director, Center for Training Therapy and Performance Physiology Hanover in 2021 and an assistant doctor at Hannover Medical School (2018–2023).

Thomas Muehlbauer is the Professorship for Movement and Training Sciences/Biomechanics of Sport at the University Duisburg-Essen. He is the Deputy Executive Director of the Institute and the Associate Dean for Research of the Faculty of Educational Sciences. In 2001, he won the Meinel Prize for the best scientific achievement from the Faculty of Sports Science at the University of Leipzig. Between 2002 and 2005, he won the State scholarship from the Free State of Saxony. His research interests mainly include resistance training, training load, athletic performance, and elite sports.
