Carmen Limban is a Professor at the Faculty of Pharmacy, Department of Pharmaceutical Chemistry, Carol Davila University of Medicine and Pharmacy, Bucharest, Romania. She has participated in 18 research projects, 3 of them as the project manager. The field of synthesis and analyses of new potentially bioactive compounds is an ongoing concern of hers, reflected in published papers and books, sustained scientific symposiums and national and international congresses. She is the principal author of three patents granted by OSIM and three patent proposals. The field of her activity is a permanent preoccupation, which has materialized in 69 ISI-rated journals (30 as the main author). In addition, she is the main author of 2 monographs, co-author of 12 specialty books and collaborator on 2 such books. The scientific relevance of the papers published in recent years is apparent from the citations in national and international ISI-rated journals. She is a member of the editorial board of Biointerface Research in Applied Chemistry (since 2011) and Letters in Applied NanoBioScience (since 2012). She has a Hirsch Index of 14 (Web of Knowledge).
Diana Camelia Nuță graduated from the Faculty of Pharmacy at Carol Davila University in 1997. In 2006, she became a senior pharmacist and obtained a PhD in Pharmacy. Since 1998, she has had an academic career at Carol Davila University in the Faculty of Pharmacy in the Department of Pharmaceutical Chemistry, holding the position of Professor since 2021. She is the author/co-author of 9 specialized books, over 175 published studies (54 of which are Web of Science Core Collection publications), with over 120 being presented at national and international scientific events. She has participated in 12 national and international research projects. She has co-authored 3 patent applications and realized over 75 verified peer reviews in important scientific journals. Her academic awards include the Medicine Award at Euroinvent 2020 (12th Edition, Iasi, Romania), the praise for the best researcher offered by the College of Pharmacists from Romania in 2020 and an award from the National Congress of Pharmacy, Iaşi, 2014, at the Design of Bioactive Substances section. Her most important scientific contributions are closely related to the field of synthesis and the characterization of new molecules with biological activity (antimicrobial, antibiofilm, antipsychotic, etc.) and drug design.
